Shop system for registering new Top Level Domains

registry.net presents white-label solution for registering domains with Domain Shop. Especially operators of new TLDs will benefit from the Domain Shop system as a perfect solution for direct marketing.

According to ICANN the first contracts with new registries will be concluded after the ICANN Meeting in Peking held from 7 to 11 April 2013. Registration of the first domains under new Top Level Domains (TLDs) like .KOELN or .RUHR is expected to become possible already in the second half of this year.

Applications for about 1,400 new domain endings having been submitted, we can assume that there will be a very large variety of TLDs in the future. Domain registrars will face considerable costs for implementing this great range and number of new TLDs in their registration systems, especially since not all new TLDs can be assumed to generate registration numbers that prove lucrative for the registrars.

For the registries, in contrast, who can sell their domains only via ICANN-accredited registrars, it is important to be "listed" at as many registrars as possible and be presented in the best possible way by them, to avoid falling behind in the competition with the other new TLDs. Thus it is not surprising that a vivid information exchange is currently taking place between the providers of new TLDs and registrars.
