Q: What can I do with my new gTLD?

Q: How can I obtain the gTLD that I want for my Brand?

A: Simply by applying for that gTLD. For each gTLD desired, a separate application must be completed and submitted before the end of the submission period.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: Costs can vary depending on the resources that syou may already have or may need to obtain. The basic application fee is $185K USD, plus a $5,000 USD deposit per requested application must be paid upon filing Additional fees may be added to include consultation and services as well yearly domain renewal fees.

Q: OK, I’m ready to register. What’s the next step?

A: The first step is to decide with certainty that your Brand will move forward with the application process. The best time to do this would be no later than the beginning of September 2011.

Q: How long is the application process?

A: The estimated lifecycle for a straightforward application could be nine (9) months including an Adminstrative Check, Initial Evaluation and Transition to Delegation. More complex applications could have a lifecycle of up to twenty (20) months.

A: Applications can be electronically submitted beginning 12 January 2012. ICANN will be accepting and reviewing applications until 12 April 2012 Applications recieved after the submission period will not be considered for gTLD approval.
